Gorilla Permits for Bwindi Forest in Uganda cost 600USD for high months of January, February, March, June, July, August, September, Octomber and December. Whereas for low season months of April, May and November, the gorilla permits are discounted at 450USD.
2 Days Gorilla Trekking Uganda – Fly from Entebbe Airport to Bwindi Gorilla Forest and back
The first option of 2 Days Gorilla Trekking Uganda starts from Entebbe Airport with a transfer to Bwindi forest with a plane to Kihihi Airstrip or Kisoro Airstrip near Bwindi Forest, having an over night in Bwindi Forest, Trek Gorillas in Bwindi Forest then fly back to Entebbe on the second day.
2 Days Gorilla Trekking Uganda – Drive from Kigali Rwanda to Bwindi Forest Uganda
The second option and cheapest of 2 Days Gorilla Trekking Uganda begins in Rwanda Kigali. On Day 1, Trekkers fly into Kigali Airport Rwanda, our safari guide picks them up and transfer them to Bwindi Forest Uganda, on the second day Trek Gorillas, then drive back to Kigali Rwanda for departure flights.
2 Days Gorilla Trekking Uganda Itinerary
Day 1- Transfers from Kigali to Bwindi forest
On arrival at Kigali Airport Rwanda with a morning/Afternoon flight, our safari guide will meet you and transfer you to Bwindi forest in Uganda via Katuna Border. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma lodge/Bwindi lodge/Gorilla safari lodge (luxury), Silver back lodge/Nshongi gorilla resort/Nkuringo camp site/Trekkers Tavern (Mid-range) Gorilla Valley Lodge/gift of nature Ruhija/Bwindi view /Buhoma the Community Banda’s/Nshongi gorilla resort/sleep in Kabale (Low budget/basic accommodation)
Day 2 – Gorilla trekking and Transfer back to Kigali
Have an early breakfast and get ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc. The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Tracking may take between 2 to 6 hours but it is well worth the effort.
You will return to Kigali in Rwanda via Katuna border after the trek. Then be dropped off at your preferred hotel or transferred to the airport for your late departure flight.
