The reason for the increment is to strengthen conservation efforts, enhance visitors’ experience and contribute more to the development of local communities living around Volcanoes Gorilla Park.

Over 400 projects of communities benefit from revenue generated from selling Gorilla permits and the benefit will increase from 5% – 10%, thus empowering the local communities economically.

During Rwanda Gorilla Trekking, Tourists who visit other Rwanda National Parks for example Akangera National Park, Nyungwe Forest for a minimum of three days, in addition to Rwanda Gorilla Trekking, will receive a 30% discount. Similarly, conference tourists, who stay pre or post conference dates to see gorillas, will be eligible for a 15% discount.
